We visited The Community House Stand and discovered some new activities. Helen and Karen, two lovely volunteers filled us in on all things Community House.

We stopped by The Suicide Prevention booth. What an awesome group! We spoke with Pat, Dianne and Sam.

Gawler Primary School Celebrates 140th Anniversary

On the 19th October 2018, Gawler Primary School will be 140 years old. There will be celebrations from 4-6.30 pm. The Committee is especially looking for multi-generational ex-students of the school. Marilyn talks with John and Amanda Reiman - 3 generations of their family have attended this school.

Event Watch Jazz Festival

Our team attended the Festival Launch at the Nixon Convention Centre and met up with the Foenando Brothers, Mike and Steve. Deb Davidson, a local jazz enthusiast, joined us on the breezy balcony for a chat.

Event Watch: Gawler Community Gallery Opening - Mental Health Carers

Marilyn went to the launch of the Mental Health Carers Group's inaugural exhibition at the Gawler Community Gallery, on Sunday, 6th March 2016. The exhibition was organised by Eileen Booth, Peer Support worker at The United Community Group, Smithfield, and opened by Michelle, an Art Therapist. Marilyn met up with the exhibitors, Eileen and Michelle in the Ghan Room where their work is on display until the middle of April.

Event Watch: Village Fair Stalls

There were a lot of stalls around the Rotary Village Fair, so we took the chance to talk to some of them! In this episode we talk to the Barossa Light Horse Historical Association, the Gawler and District Children's Centre, Heartbeat Inc., and Zonta.

Another day, another local event! When we arrived at the Gawler Rotary Village Fair it was in full swing, so we asked Kim Potger, one of the organisers, a few questions.
